Overview​

Email-and-password registration gives you full control over your login identity on TradeLyser. You choose the email address tied to billing, support, and security alerts, and you set a password that meets TradeLyser’s minimum strength rules. After sign-up, you must verify your email before full access to journaling features; this protects your trading data and prevents accidental duplicate accounts.

Registration typically takes two to five minutes. Once verified, you can complete onboarding, connect brokers or import CSV history, and explore your trial period to evaluate plans that fit active Indian traders.

Recommended: Use a password manager (Bitwarden, 1Password, Apple Keychain, etc.) so your TradeLyser password is unique and not reused from broker or email accounts.

Not required at registration: Broker connection, payment method, or prior trade history. You can add those after your first login.

Step-by-step: Create your TradeLyser account​

Step 1 — Open the registration page​

  1. Go to https://tradelyser.com.
  2. Click Sign Up (or Get Started if shown on the landing page).
  3. On the sign-up screen, choose Continue with Email or the email/password form (wording may vary by UI version).

You should see fields for name, email, and password. If you already have an account, use Log In instead to avoid duplicate registrations.

Step 2 — Complete the registration form​

  1. Full name — Enter the name you want on reports and mentor views. You can update this later in profile settings.
  2. Email address — Use your primary email. Work and personal addresses both work; pick the one you will use for years of journaling.
  3. Password — Create a password of at least 8 characters. TradeLyser may show strength hints as you type.
  4. Review any checkboxes for Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and marketing preferences.
  5. Click Sign Up or Create Account.

If the email is already registered, TradeLyser will prompt you to log in or reset your password instead of creating a second account.

Step 3 — Verify your email address​

  1. Open the inbox for the email you used.
  2. Find the message from TradeLyser (subject often includes “Verify” or “Confirm your email”).
  3. Click Verify Email or the confirmation link in the message.
  4. Your browser opens a confirmation page; you may be redirected to log in automatically.

If the email does not arrive within five minutes:

  • Check Spam, Promotions, or Updates folders.
  • Search for tradelyser.com or noreply in your mail client.
  • Request a new verification email from the login screen if a Resend verification option appears.
  • Ensure you did not typo the address on the form.

Step 4 — Log in and complete onboarding​

  1. After verification, sign in with your email and password.
  2. Follow onboarding prompts: timezone, experience level, primary markets, or broker preferences may appear.
  3. Skim the dashboard; you can defer broker connection and CSV import until you are ready.

Step 5 — Understand your trial and plan​

  1. Open Settings → Subscription or the billing area referenced during onboarding.
  2. Note trial length, included features, and what happens when the trial ends.
  3. Set a calendar reminder before trial expiry if you plan to subscribe or export data you need offline.

Trial terms can change; always trust the in-app messaging at registration time over third-party summaries.

FAQ​

Do I need a separate email from my broker?​

No. Your TradeLyser email is only for logging into the trading journal. It does not need to match your Zerodha, Groww, or other broker login, though many Indian traders use the same address for convenience.

How long does email verification take?​

Usually instant to two minutes. Delays are almost always due to spam filtering or corporate email gateways. Whitelist TradeLyser sender domains if your workplace filters external mail.

Can I register without starting a paid subscription?​

Yes. Registration and trial flows are designed so you can evaluate TradeLyser before committing. Paid features unlock according to the plan shown in your account.

What if I see “Email already exists”?​

The address is tied to an existing account. Use Log In or reset your forgotten password. Do not create duplicate accounts; duplicates complicate imports and billing.

Is my password stored in plain text?​

TradeLyser follows industry-standard practices: passwords are not stored in readable form. You cannot retrieve an old password—only reset it.

Can I switch from email registration to Google later?​

Will I lose my trial if I do not verify email?​

Unverified accounts are typically restricted. Verify email promptly so imports, dashboard widgets, and trial timers apply correctly.

Can two people share one TradeLyser login?​

Not recommended. Shared credentials break audit trails, confuse mentor access, and weaken security. Each trader should have their own account; use mentee features where appropriate.

Does TradeLyser support international phone numbers at sign-up?​

Phone collection may be optional at registration and expanded in profile settings. Email verification remains the primary gate for email-password accounts.

Who do I contact if registration fails repeatedly?​
