How to Set Up Wealth Hub and Sync Your Holdings
Wealth Hub is TradeLyser's long-term investing module. Your trading journal analyses the trades you make; Wealth Hub analyses what you hold (stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, bonds, cash and other assets) to show your net worth, returns against the market, goals, tax position and risk. Setting it up takes about 10 minutes if your broker is already connected to TradeLyser.
Availability: Wealth Hub is an add-on that you can buy on any plan, including Trial. Open it at app.tradelyser.com/wealth-hub/dashboard, or from Wealth Hub in the sidebar.
Once set up you can:
- See your net worth, XIRR and unrealised P&L across every connected broker account on one dashboard.
- Check whether you are beating Nifty 50 with Compare – am I winning?
- Plan goals and FIRE, and keep an eye on capital gains, risk and alerts in Goals, Tax, Risk and Alerts.
- Ask the AI Investor Council for a second opinion on your portfolio.
What you need
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| The Wealth Hub add-on | Buy it from Settings → Pricing → Add-ons (monthly or yearly). |
| A broker account connected with Auto Sync | Holdings sync works for Zerodha, Dhan, Fyers, Groww, Kotak, Finvasia, Flattrade, 5paisa and Zebu. |
| A valid broker login | If the login has expired, the account shows Re-auth to Sync. |
| Values for assets your broker doesn't hold (optional) | For example your PPF balance, EPF, FDs or gold. |
An account added with File Upload or manual entry won't appear in Sync Holdings. Wealth Hub reads holdings from the broker API, so the account must use the Auto Sync import method. Wealth Hub has no tradebook, CSV or CAS statement import: everything outside your broker goes in as a manual asset (Step 3).
The Wealth Hub pages
Without the add-on, the Wealth Hub pages show a blurred sample dashboard with a View Plans button. With it, the Wealth Hub menu has nine pages:
| Page | What it covers | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | Net worth, XIRR, allocation and widgets | Dashboard, holdings and compare |
| Holdings | Every holding, cost basis and closed positions | Dashboard, holdings and compare |
| Compare | Your return against a benchmark index | Dashboard, holdings and compare |
| Goals & FIRE | Goals, required SIP, Monte Carlo, FIRE number | Goals, tax, risk and alerts |
| Tax | Unrealised capital gains, harvesting, 80C | Goals, tax, risk and alerts |
| Risk | Concentration, drawdown, beta, stress test | Goals, tax, risk and alerts |
| Alerts | Rules and fired alerts | Goals, tax, risk and alerts |
| Reports | Exportable summaries and the weekly digest | Investor Council and reports |
| Council | AI Investor Council reviews | Investor Council and reports |
The add-on also unlocks the older Investor Hub pages, which Wealth Hub is replacing.
Step 1: Connect a broker with Auto Sync
- Open Accounts and click Add Account.
- Choose one of the brokers that supports holdings sync and select Auto Sync as the import method.
- Complete the broker login. Follow the guide for your broker:
- Kotak, Finvasia, Flattrade and Zebu also support holdings sync; add them the same way from Add Account.
If you hold investments at more than one broker, add each account. See Add multiple accounts.
Step 2: Sync your holdings
- Open any Wealth Hub page and click Sync Holdings in the header.
- Choose the accounts to sync.
- If an account shows Re-auth to Sync, its broker login has expired. Log in again from there, then sync.
After the first sync, holdings sync automatically on weekday evenings as long as Auto-sync holdings is on in Settings → Wealth Hub and your broker login is still valid. You can run Sync Holdings yourself at any time.
XIRR, the net-worth curve and other charts are built from daily snapshots, so they stay empty or sparse until a few syncs have run.
Step 3: Add assets your broker doesn't hold
- Open Holdings and click + Manual asset.
- Choose the type: PPF, EPF, NPS, ELSS, FD, SGB, gold, property, insurance, crypto or other.
- Enter the current value, an optional lock-in date and any notes.
- Save. The asset is listed on Holdings alongside your synced holdings.
Update the value of manual assets yourself when it changes, because they aren't synced from anywhere.
Step 4: Create account groups (optional)
- Go to Settings → Wealth Hub.
- Create an account group, for example Family or Retirement, and add the accounts that belong to it.
- Use the group picker in the Wealth Hub header to switch between one account, all accounts or a group.
Step 5: Review your Wealth Hub settings
Open Settings → Wealth Hub and check each card:
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Income tax slab | Used in tax estimates. |
| Manual assets & 80C | Your 80C investments for this financial year, plus extra NPS under 80CCD(1B) and health insurance under 80D. |
| Investment rules | Your limits, such as maximum single-stock % and minimum holding days. Breaches show on the Risk page and dashboard. |
| Auto-sync holdings | Turns the weekday-evening holdings sync on or off. |
| Portfolio notifications | Notifications for portfolio alerts. Set up the rules themselves on Alerts. |
| Weekly digest email | A Saturday email with your portfolio value, P&L and recent alerts. |
| Close confirmation mode | How exits are confirmed when a holding drops to zero. |
Controls on every page
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Group / account picker | View one account, all accounts or an account group. |
| Eye icon | Hides amounts, which is handy when you share your screen. |
| Date range | Sets the period for charts and returns. |
| Sync Holdings | Syncs holdings from the accounts you choose. |
| Status line | Shows when holdings were last synced. |
Check your sync history
Settings → Wealth Hub Sync History lists every holdings sync with its status, holdings count and trigger. Click the eye icon on a row to see what changed or why a sync failed. This is separate from the trade Sync History on the Accounts page.
Troubleshooting setup
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| An account is missing from Sync Holdings | Only Auto Sync accounts at the nine supported brokers can sync holdings. |
| Account shows Re-auth to Sync | Your broker login expired. Click Re-auth to Sync and log in again. |
| A sync failed | Open Settings → Wealth Hub Sync History and click the eye icon for the error. |
| XIRR or charts are empty | Let a few daily syncs run so snapshots build up. |
| Pages show a blurred sample with View Plans | The Wealth Hub add-on isn't active on your account. |
For broker login problems, see Troubleshoot broker connection.
