How to Rate Your Trades

Assign quality ratings to trades for self-assessment and improvement tracking.

Rating Scale​

5-Star System​

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars: Perfect execution, followed plan
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 Stars: Good trade, minor issues
⭐⭐⭐ 3 Stars: Average, some mistakes
⭐⭐ 2 Stars: Poor execution, broke rules
⭐ 1 Star: Terrible, emotional/revenge trade

Steps​

1. Open Trade Details​

  1. Go to Trades page
  2. Click on trade to rate

2. Find Rating Section​

Look for "Rating" or star icons

3. Click Stars​

  1. Click on star (1-5)
  2. Rating applied instantly
  3. Stars fill up to selected rating

4. Save (if needed)​

  • Usually saves automatically
  • Or click "Save" button

Success!​

Trade is now rated.

Rating Guidelines​

Rate Based On​

✅ Entry timing (planned vs actual)
✅ Exit strategy (plan followed?)
✅ Position sizing (correct?)
✅ Stop loss management
✅ Profit target achievement
✅ Emotional control
❌ NOT based on profit/loss amount

Important​

💡 Losing trade can be 5 stars (followed plan)
💡 Winning trade can be 1 star (got lucky, broke rules)
💡 Rate execution quality, not outcome

Bulk Rating​

Rate Multiple Trades​

  1. Select trades (checkboxes)
  2. Click "Bulk Actions" > "Rate Trades"
  3. Select star rating
  4. Apply to all selected

Viewing Rated Trades​

Filter by Rating​

  1. Use rating filter
  2. Select star rating (e.g., 5-star only)
  3. View and learn from best trades

Statistics​

  • Average rating
  • Rating distribution
  • Correlation with P&L
  • Quality trends over time

Rating Analysis​

Insights to Track​

📊 Does high rating = high P&L?
📊 Rating trends over time
📊 Which setups get best ratings?
📊 Improvement in discipline

Goal Setting​

  • Aim for avg rating above 3.5
  • Increase % of 4-5 star trades
  • Reduce 1-2 star trades
  • Track monthly improvement

Quick Tips​

  • Rate immediately after trade
  • Be honest with yourself
  • Focus on process, not outcome
  • Review low-rated trades
  • Celebrate high-rated execution

Set reminders to rate:

  • End of trading day
  • Weekly review session
  • Before next trade
  • When closing positions
