How to Filter Trades by Date Range

Overview

View trades from specific time periods for focused analysis.

Steps

1. Locate Date Filter

  1. Go to Trades page
  2. Find date range picker in header/toolbar

2. Click Date Picker

  1. Click on current date range button
  2. Calendar dropdown opens

3. Choose Quick Preset

Select from common ranges:

  • Today - Current day
  • Yesterday
  • Last 7 Days
  • Last 30 Days
  • This Month - Month to date
  • Last Month - Previous month
  • This Year - Year to date
  • All Time - Complete history

4. Or Select Custom Range

For specific dates:

  1. Click "Custom Range"
  2. Click start date on calendar
  3. Click end date on calendar
  4. Click "Apply"

5. View Filtered Trades

  • Trades list updates
  • Shows only trades in selected period
  • Summary recalculates
  • Count updates

Daily Review

Today filter:

  • Check intraday performance
  • Review today's trades
  • Monitor real-time results

Weekly Analysis

Last 7 Days filter:

  • Week's performance
  • Pattern identification
  • Weekly goals tracking

Monthly Review

This Month filter:

  • Month-to-date P&L
  • Monthly targets
  • Strategy performance

Annual Analysis

This Year filter:

  • Year-to-date results
  • Long-term trends
  • Annual goals

Combining with Other Filters

Multiple Filters

Date + Symbol:

  1. Set date range first
  2. Then filter by symbol
  3. See specific stock in period

Date + Tags:

  1. Set date range
  2. Filter by tag (e.g., "Breakout")
  3. See tagged trades in period

Date + Status:

  1. Set date range
  2. Filter by Wins/Losses
  3. Analyze performance type

Clear Date Filter

Reset to All Time

  1. Click date picker
  2. Select "All Time"
  3. Or click "Clear Filter"

Date Display Format

Format: DD/MM/YYYY

  • Indian date format
  • Example: 30/10/2024
  • Consistent across app
  • IST timezone

Quick Tips

  • Use presets for speed
  • Custom range for specific analysis
  • Combine with other filters
  • Date shown in IST
  • Filter persists during session

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • D: Open date picker (if enabled)
  • Esc: Close without applying
  • Enter: Apply selected range

Relative vs Absolute

Relative Dates

"Last 30 Days" updates daily:

  • Today is always included
  • Rolls forward automatically
  • Dynamic period

Absolute Dates

Custom "01/10/2024 to 30/10/2024":

  • Fixed period
  • Doesn't change
  • Historical analysis

Troubleshooting

No trades in range? Trades may not exist for that period
Filter not applying? Click Apply button
Wrong dates showing? Check timezone
Can't select future dates? Only past/today allowed
