How to Create Custom Trade Tags

Overview​

Create personalized tags to organize and categorize your trades effectively.

Steps​

1. Navigate to Tag Management​

Go to Settings > Tag Management

2. Create New Tag​

Click "+ Create Tag" or "New Tag" button

3. Enter Tag Details​

Tag Name:

  • Clear, concise name
  • Consistent naming
  • Examples: "Breakout", "FOMO", "Perfect"

Tag Category (optional):

  • Strategy
  • Setup
  • Quality
  • Outcome
  • Emotion

Tag Color (optional):

  • Visual identification
  • Organize by color
  • Quick recognition

4. Save Tag​

Click "Save Tag" or "Create"

Success!​

Custom tag created and ready to use.

Tag Naming Best Practices​

Good Tag Names​

✅ Specific: "BreakoutAboveResistance" → "Breakout"
✅ Short: "Breakout" not "BreakoutTradingStrategy"
✅ Consistent: "Support" not sometimes "Supp"
✅ Clear: "FOMO" not "Bad1"

Poor Tag Names​

❌ Too vague: "Trade1"
❌ Too long: "BreakoutAboveResistanceWithVolumeConfirmation"
❌ Inconsistent: "breakout", "Breakout", "BREAKOUT"
❌ Unclear: "X", "Test", "123"

Tag Categories​

Strategy Tags​

Purpose: Identify strategy used

  • Trend Following
  • Mean Reversion
  • Breakout
  • Scalping
  • Swing Trading

Setup Tags​

Purpose: Entry pattern

  • Support Bounce
  • Resistance Break
  • Pullback
  • Gap Up
  • Consolidation

Quality Tags​

Purpose: Execution quality

  • Perfect
  • Good
  • Average
  • FOMO
  • Revenge

Outcome Tags​

Purpose: Result type

  • Target Hit
  • Stopped Out
  • Time Exit
  • Breakeven
  • Partial Exit

Tag Colors​

Color Coding System​

🔴 Red: Negative/Warning (FOMO, Revenge)
🟢 Green: Positive/Success (Perfect, Target Hit)
🟡 Yellow: Caution/Review (Average)
🔵 Blue: Strategy/Setup
⚪ Gray: Neutral/Default

Tag Hierarchy​

Organize Tags​

Parent Tags:

  • Entry Patterns
  • Exit Patterns
  • Strategies
  • Emotions

Child Tags:

  • Under Entry: Breakout, Pullback, etc.
  • Under Emotions: FOMO, Fear, etc.

Bulk Tag Creation​

Create Multiple at Once​

  1. Click "Bulk Create"
  2. Enter tags (one per line)
  3. Set category for all
  4. Choose color scheme
  5. Create all

Example:

Breakout
Pullback
Support
Resistance
Gap Trading

Tag Usage Statistics​

See Tag Performance​

Each tag shows:

  • Number of trades using it
  • Win rate with tag
  • Total P&L for tag
  • Last used date

Helps identify useful vs unused tags.

Deleting Tags​

Remove Unused Tags​

  1. Find tag in list
  2. Click three dots or Delete
  3. Confirm deletion
  4. Tag removed from all trades

⚠️ Warning: Cannot undo

Merging Tags​

Consolidate Similar Tags​

Have "breakout" and "Breakout"?

  1. Select tags to merge
  2. Click "Merge Tags"
  3. Choose which name to keep
  4. All trades updated

Editing Tags​

Modify Existing Tags​

Change:

  • Tag name
  • Category
  • Color
  • Description

Updates on all trades automatically.

Tag Suggestions​

AI Tag Recommendations​

Based on:

  • Trade characteristics
  • Notes content
  • Similar trades
  • Patterns detected

Accept or ignore suggestions.

Quick Tips​

  • Create tags as needed
  • Keep list under 20-30 tags
  • Use consistent naming
  • Color-code by type
  • Delete unused tags
  • Review quarterly

  • Trial: Up to 50 tags
  • Basic: Up to 100 tags
  • Pro: Unlimited tags
