How to Manage Tag Categories

Overview​

Organize your tags into categories for better structure and easier analysis.

Steps​

1. Go to Tag Management​

Navigate to Settings > Tag Management

2. View Tag Categories​

See all categories:

  • Strategy Tags
  • Setup Tags
  • Quality Tags
  • Outcome Tags
  • Custom categories

3. Create New Category​

  1. Click "+ New Category"
  2. Enter category name
  3. Add description
  4. Choose icon/color
  5. Save

4. Assign Tags to Categories​

  1. Select tags
  2. Choose category from dropdown
  3. Tags move to category
  4. Organized automatically

Success!​

Your tags are organized into logical categories.

Default Categories​

Pre-built Categories​

Strategy:

  • Trend Following
  • Mean Reversion
  • Breakout
  • Scalping

Setup:

  • Entry patterns
  • Chart formations
  • Signal types

Quality:

  • Execution rating
  • Discipline level
  • Emotional state

Outcome:

  • Exit types
  • Results

Category Features​

What Categories Do​

Managing Categories​

Edit Category​

  1. Click three dots on category
  2. Select "Edit"
  3. Update name, color, description
  4. Save changes

Delete Category​

  1. Click three dots
  2. Select "Delete"
  3. Confirm action
  4. Tags become uncategorized

⚠️ Tags not deleted, just uncategorized

Tag Organization Views​

Color Coding​

Category Colors​

Assign colors for:

  • Visual organization

  • 🔵 Blue: Strategy tags
  • 🟢 Green: Quality tags

Create hierarchy:

Bulk Category Assignment​

Assign Multiple Tags​

  1. Select multiple tags (checkboxes)
  2. Choose category
  3. Click "Assign to Category"
  4. All tags move at once

Default Category​

Uncategorized Tags​

Tags without category:

  • Go to "Uncategorized"
  • Shown separately
  • Can assign later
  • Not an error

Search Within Categories​

Find Tags​

  1. Select category
  2. Search box appears
  3. Search only in that category
  4. Fast results

Reordering Categories​

Change Display Order​

  1. Drag-drop categories
  2. Or use up/down arrows
  3. Set preferred order
  4. Saves automatically
