How to Configure Notification Preferences

Overview

Control what notifications you receive and how they're delivered.

Steps

1. Navigate to Notifications

Go to Settings > Notification Settings

2. Enable/Disable Categories

Trading Notifications:

  • Trade sync completed
  • New trades imported
  • Large P&L trades
  • Daily summary

System Notifications:

  • Connection issues
  • Sync failures
  • Maintenance alerts
  • Feature updates

Analytics Notifications:

  • AI analysis complete
  • Performance milestones
  • Goal achievements
  • Weekly summaries

3. Choose Delivery Methods

For each notification type:

  • ☑️ In-app notification
  • ☑️ Email
  • ☑️ Browser push
  • ☑️ Mobile push

4. Set Quiet Hours

Do Not Disturb:

  • Enable quiet hours
  • Set start time (e.g., 10:00 PM)
  • Set end time (e.g., 8:00 AM)
  • No notifications during this time

5. Save Preferences

Click "Save Notification Preferences"

Trading Alerts

🔔 Trade Synced: New trades imported
🔔 Sync Complete: Broker sync finished
🔔 Import Success: CSV import done
🔔 Big Trade: P&L exceeds threshold

Performance Alerts

📊 Daily Summary: End-of-day recap
📊 Weekly Review: Week's performance
📊 Milestone: Goal achieved
📊 Record Broken: New personal best

System Alerts

⚙️ Connection Lost: Broker disconnected
⚙️ Sync Failed: Error in sync
⚙️ Update Available: New features
⚙️ Maintenance: Scheduled downtime

Delivery Preferences

In-App Notifications

  • Bell icon in header
  • Notification center
  • Read/unread tracking
  • Click to view details

Email Notifications

  • Sent to registered email
  • Grouped by category
  • Unsubscribe per category
  • Daily digest option

Browser Push

  • Desktop notifications
  • Even when app closed
  • Click to open app
  • Requires permission

Mobile Push

  • Phone notifications
  • Lock screen display
  • Vibration/sound
  • Action buttons

Frequency Settings

Control Frequency

Instant: Real-time alerts
Digest: Once daily summary
Weekly: Weekly roundup
Off: Disabled

Set per notification category.

Threshold Settings

Alert Triggers

Set thresholds for:

  • P&L Alert: When trade P&L > ₹5,000
  • Win Streak: After 5 consecutive wins
  • Loss Streak: After 3 consecutive losses
  • Daily Limit: When approaching max loss

Priority Notifications

Never Miss

Mark as high priority:

  • Critical alerts
  • Connection issues
  • Security alerts
  • Important updates

Bypass quiet hours if enabled

Notification History

View Past Notifications

  1. Click bell icon
  2. See all notifications
  3. Read/unread status
  4. Archive read ones
  5. Clear all option

Mobile App Notifications

App-Specific

Configure separately for:

  • iOS notifications
  • Android notifications
  • Sound/vibration
  • Badge count

Email Digest

Consolidated Emails

Instead of many emails:

  • Enable daily digest
  • One email per day
  • All notifications included
  • Sent at preferred time

Test Notifications

Send Test

  1. Click "Send Test Notification"
  2. Choose type to test
  3. Receive test notification
  4. Verify settings working

Quick Tips

  • Enable critical notifications only
  • Use quiet hours for better sleep
  • Email digest reduces inbox clutter
  • Test after configuration
  • Review preferences quarterly
